LVCA Sound and Light Equipment Conditions of Hire

Item 1

The hirer shall pay as a deposit of 20% of the cost of his or her booking of the Sound and Light equipment at least 2 weeks prior to the event.

Such a deposit will only be refundable to the hirer in the event of the LVCA canceling the booking.

Item 2

The equipment may only be operated in the Langford Village Hall, and must not be removed from the premises without the permission of the LVCA committee.

Item 3

Only authorized operators as designated by the LVCA Committee may operate the equipment.

The LVCA will provide contact details of authorized operators to the hirer.
It is the responsibility of the hirer to contact the authorized operators to ensure his / her availability. It is advised that at least 6 weeks notice be given.
In the event that the authorized operator is unable to fulfill any commitment made to the hirer, then the LVCA should not be deemed responsible, although the LVCA will endeavour to find an alternative authorized operator.

Item 4

The hirer shall pay the balance of the equipment hire fee due before the commencement of the booking. In the event the hirer cancels the booking within a period of 2 weeks prior to the event, then the deposit paid will be non refundable.

Item 5

The hirer should negotiate an operating fee directly with the authorized operator. The LVCA is not responsible for any such financial arrangements.

Item 6

The hirer shall during the period of hiring be responsible for ensuring that no unauthorized personnel operate the equipment or interfere in any way with the operation of the equipment by the authorized operator.
If, as a consequence of such unauthorized activity, the equipment is damaged then the LVCA will seek restitution from the hirer.
